Speaking of poop. When I was a kid the school bus dropped us off on one side of a cow pasture. We had to climb over a wooden stile, walk across the pasture (avoiding the cows), climb over another stile onto our street, then walk up the hill. During the winter we always had to be careful when there was new snow. We had no way of knowing if fresh cow dung was underneath. We frequently made it home to spend ten minutes cleaning cow poop off our shoes!
