Thursday? That is today! Twilight, maybe that is why doggo woke me up way too early, 4am something. I sent him back to sleep and grumpily accepted we leave half an hour later.

But it was 5:15am only, I hadn't opened my eyes enough to see the time properly. Still dim light. Waaay too early. As early as possible for #MalteTheDog. Now what, I will need to catch an extra nap today after 2 hours of walkies.

I know! Wanted to travel to Portugal, Porto and take the train to its northernmost point. But then.. economy of kerosene happened, the apartment to rent went up in smoke (figuratively, the building is fine) and so I won't go. 99.something would have been good! But no. Ecological consciousness kicked, so I never booked that flight.

Sure should be! :D Just bring me to the right spot in Venus's orbit where occlusional effects shall be maximized, it then shall be mind blowing! Seems hard to do from this rock in he solar system.

I'm afraid this involves both measuring in feet and its feasibility remains speculative at this point, so may not happen.

Fortunately someone else, local to earth, witnessed this before and left a legacy document:

Turned the kettle on. Got the wheelie bins out for collection. Made a cup. Already 18°C, with an expected 23°C mid afternoon, which means 26° or 27°C here at the house, as we're in a West facing rise about 5km inland and around 81m elevation. Can you say "Microclimate?" Plus, it's monsoon season, so the humidity is up.
Gotta go, make a pot.

I am in the guilty phase where last weeks heat wave is over but I still have the house closed up because the humidity outside is high even though the temperature difference is only a couple of degrees.
Going out still feels like walking into a steam bath.
Eventually a front will come through , blow the humidity away and the temps will stay low. Then I will open the house up until the next heat wave.

I spent Thursday hauling Mr. Stranger back and forth to a new dr. It was hot as hell, the car has no AC, and getting him in and out of the cute ute is very physical. I'm really just now recovering. WE NEED A VAN! Sadly the ones with the grab handles are (1) popular 💰 and (2) not getting any younger (or more plentiful). They want to send him to PT 🥳 but I somehow gotta get him there DAILY 😖
