I feel the need for a "like" button on Mastodon. I just want to express my support for a nice homemade pie without having to repost it on my feed or adding a reply to it or saving it forever (on my favourites).

I think Mastodon looks more deserted because of the lack of this feature - people see things that interest them but they don't have an easy, light way to interact with the posts.

Am I missing something about the intended experience?
