Content warning: marketing chief of purism is giving support to ICE
Remember, that racist agency that even imprisons children.
He made a video commenting on the removal of CTO from ICE from a #github conference.
He uses following argumentation:
- let's leave politics aside
- if left or right I don't care
- you cannot make everyone happy
- if you remove someone from a conference, more people will be mad at you
- ignore the critism, host anyone
this is the story of oportunism.
this is the story of marketing as a means
the video is sponsored by #purism. And his followers on twitter do have a clear position, that support his view points.
Those are the ones purism is advertised to.
makes punshlines against #mozilla and #riseup as supporter of #antifa that he describes as a terrorist organisation.
says he's anti-harrasment, but tolerates r#acism and #ableism on their plattform.

Plaid imitates major bank account UIs in their login forms to make users more comfortable submitting their bank credentials to Plaid. This issue was addressed in this Github issue (archived from WaybackMachine): http://web.archive.org/web/20190415103059/https://github.com/plaid/link/issues/68
The Github issue has since been deleted, as shown here: https://github.com/plaid/link/issues/68. I'm hoping this isn't a repost, but this behavior seems ridiculous to me, and I'm hoping to bring it to wider attention (if it isn't already).
Edit: post flagged for some reason. Oh well.

PulseEffects: A Nice System-Wide PulseAudio Equalizer / Audio Effects App
A system-wide equalizer can be useful in situations where an application doesn't have its own equalizer, like Spotify on desktops, for websites like YouTube or Soundcloud, games, and so on.installed it via flatpak as it's not available in the repositories (all guides on the linuxuprising site) ... there's different presets, I use these three
With PulseEffects, a Gtk+ application, you get not only an advanced, 30-band system-wide equalizer for Linux, but effects as well, like auto volume, compressor, reverberation, stereo enhancer, limiter and many others.
PulseEffects requires PulseAudio (default in Ubuntu and many other Linux distributions) and it allows applying system-wide effects to all running applications or individually, to selected apps. The enhancements can be applied to both applications output as well as microphone output.
original github page is here... listning now only 10min but, have to say, a really great work by wwmm
