Поставил #Syncthing. Отличная прога, как оказалось. Что я её раньше игнорировал?
@rf

#SyncThing, like #MailPile, is another cross-platform app that launches it's UI in the default browser, rather than running most of Chrome(ium) in the background so it can have it's own window that doesn't look like a browser tab. App makers using #Electron, take note.

200.000 files and 760 GB overall seems to be over the limit which #Syncthing can handle on a #RaspberryPi 3B+. I did not add much data lately, but it crashes all the time and on one device. I know the reason is out of memory.

#Syncthing saved me some extra work right now. By accident I deleted some files I prepared this morning, luckily the folder is synced with Syncthing all the time so I just had to login on the remote computer and restore the backuped files.

Writing about #FDroid on the road couldn't be much better than with #Markor and #Syncthing which generate a lovely preview and sync my drafts #p2p across all my devices. Thanks so much to their developers!

Anyone here running #Kodi on #Raspian with a #RaspberryPi 3B? I read that it is much better to use #Xbian instead, but I would also still like to use the Raspberry Pi for #Syncthing and #PiHole and am not sure if #Xbian allows me to install these applications. The alternative is to buy another #Pi for Kodi and let it run with Xbian.

@genista Das mache ich aktuell immer mit @nextcloud. Aber #syncthing ist eigentlich auch eine Idee.

Eben mal #syncthing installiert um im heimischen Wlan, Fotos vom Handy mit dem PC zu synchroniesieren.
Funktioniert super. 👍

Syncthing graduation day

Today marks a milestone of sorts. It’s the first day of the new year and, as it also happens to be the first Tuesday of the month, it’s a Syncthing release day. Today is also almost Syncthing’s…

#Syncthing 1.0.0 released as open-source #P2P sync tool

Syncthing 1.0.0 released as open-source P2P sync tool, finally leaves beta

If #tuntox were more stable that'd also be a nice way to just put some small device somewhere and let #syncthing run on it ...

#RaspberryPi 125GB to go, #Syncthing schafft gerade nur 2,9 MB/s. :-(

Just downloaded #SyncThing on my #Jolla phone and it's working great! This should fix all my keepass problems.

@switchingsocial IMO, #Syncthing is the exact alternative to the original Dropbox concept. You just drop files into a directory and forget about it. And the best part is, it's fully P2P, hence anyone can use it, with no investment in servers.

I use #Syncthing on a #Pi that sits in some place (not home) behind a firewall, I installed #Tor on it and can SSH to it via a hidden service, very convenient, so now that #RPi got a 2TB external HDD that has to be mounted manually (due to encryption). The #RPi is used for #backup and it works like charm, it is up without a problem for over a month now and keeps some tens of GB now.
Really very nice thing. I guess you can also use #Rsync via the hidden service, but that wouldn't be fast. The thing is, this way you can take the Pi to any place, hook it to the LAN there, wait 5 minutes (max) and SSH into it from all over the world. Off-site backup made easy, just drop the Pi at your grandmothers, hook it up to the router and go.

You can also do this without the external HDD and use a 512 GB micro SD.
