Yet another analysis on semiconductor shortage, and how the German car industry handles it (badly, and unreasonably). Complex issues are not easily solved, the article reports the various problems in fine detail.

The 3% turnover that the semi industry draws from customers in the automotive industry certainly don't help to speed up things, with a guesstimated "loss" of 110 billion in non-sales in the latter. The disproportional supply chain dependency exposed now will not be remedied by any disproportionate display of anger and shuffling about.
