I trust nothing made by Google. Both because I distrust the core libraries to respect privacy, and because I don't trust that the spec and infrastructure are going to survive Google getting bored and just killing it.
Yeah, I don't disagree. It's definitely a language that exists, and yes, if Google pulls support from it - it will still exist, and there will definitely be the open compliers. It's just - I don't want to use a language sponsored by Google, Microsoft, Amazon, or Apple, or whatever.
It's smooth, and not too sweet, tastes like a liquor should, and doesn't rise above it's station. The proper taste of juniper, and not the amount that is overpowering you get in too many gins

Sure, they can't kill it, but they can make it hard to use and rather suddenly
